Our first away trip 2022/23

Our first away trip of the new season with a new manager and new hopes of promotion. Anticipation was tinged with the fact of having won our first three matches and being top of the league we were savagely mauled by Reading mid week at Ewood when we struggled to get out of our own half. A blip we thought, and a happy group of 100 club members enjoyed a comfortable mystery journey to Sheffield United. Our driver had a sat nav programmed by UBER to take the longest way possible to a destination to get the most fare. We comfortable in the belief Brereton would bang a hat trick and Gallagher would be Gallagher and not score at all and Andy and Mel's betting reflected this with Ben being odds on. A great lunch at the Dog and Partridge at Flouch with the steak pie being particularly good and by far the most ordered meal.

 

Then came the game, if the 3-0 hammering we got could be called that and a more subdued but more direct coach trip home ensued.
